How Do You REALLY Make Money Online?
Well, we make money by publishing business directories and building
websites that help our customers generate income online. It can get complicated balancing web design with search
engine techniques and then integrating all that with your offline
marketing....Here are some tools that can help you turn your
website into a profit generator. While some of the description pages may seem a little
"hype-y", I've tried these products and found that they do indeed provide
good value.
How To Presell Your Product--I found the information in this
FREE
E-book fascinating. If the success or failure of your online
business depends precariously on the whims of the search engines,
take a tip from Harvey Segal's book
"The Ultimate SuperTip":
and don't worry so much about them.
Focus instead on traffic generation strategies which will never let
you down - his free book shows you exactly what these are. For
my own clients, I have them download the book, we discuss it and
then I help them implement as many of the techniques as they want to
use. It's a win-win-win for all of us.

The Secret That Gets More Sales For Any Website--making
money from your website isn't all that different than in the real
world. This is
a useful tool for any of the marketing you
have to do. It's a system of creating effective headlines that increases your
sales. I used a few
of the techniques on some of our ad order pages--and we're seeing a
distinct improvement in sales from those areas. If you need to make your website or
your marketing more profitable, this is one tool I'd definitely
invest in. To find out more,

How To Write and Publish Your Own E-Book... I've included this
tool because while it isn't necessarily connected to building a
website, it is useful for almost anyone who want to get
more customers. If you freely share information about your industry
or specialty with potential customers, it positions you as
an expert, as helpful and trustworthy. All of these things make your
prospects more willing to do business with you. (And that, of
course, makes you more money.) This particular tool helps you easily
turn your information into a professional product that you can
either give away or sell.

A Great New
Key Word Tool. Before Yahoo.com bought out Overture,
that company had a very useful tool which showed you how many times
a keyword was used in searches the previous month. Unfortunately,
the Overture tool has been
"under revision" for some months now (read: don't hold your breath.
Yahoo wants you to sign up for their pay-per-click service instead.)
Here's an alternative that just might be even better, since it
reviews lots of search engines, not just Overture/Yahoo. Use the
free "lite" version at
Search Term Suggestion Tool or sign up for their powerhouse one.
Now Get Your
Site Into Search Engines. While Google may be the
800-pound gorilla in this category, there are still tons of other
very effective search engines and directories you should be listed
in. You can spend hours researching and manually doing the
work, or you can use this simple, elegant and very effective
Search Engine
Submission Tool.
Selling Products Online--LowCost
Shopping Cart, Economical Domain Names, SSL Certificates,
and even truly inexpensive website solutions. The are lots of
tools, options and even amazingly low prices on domain names (buy a
WebSite Tonight account for as low as $9.95 per month and get your
domain name for only $3.99!) Head on over to
www.Napa-Pros.com and check
out this web marketing arsenal.
And my final word about tools to use to help make your website pay
for itself:
Local Directory Advertising. Yes, search
engines are important, but they are notoriously fickle. The
big trend these days is "local search"--even Google and Yahoo are
getting into the game. So where do you need to be? In
the local directories that server your customers:
www.SFNorthBay.com and the county directories. Simple, cost
effective and visible.
